The company announced the development of its SPPLS technology operating without protecting groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>StrainChem, an organic chemistry company based on the Biop\u00f4le Clermont-Limagne, announced that it has developed a new peptide access technology.<\/p>\n<p>Peptides, chains of amino acids, are molecules with a great number of pharmacological properties and for which cancer, metabolic diseases or diseases of the central nervous system are therapeutic fields in strong demand.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, chemists use protecting groups to prepare these molecules of interest. However, their defects are to lengthen the time needed for synthesis, while being costly and polluting.<\/p>\n<p>Free of these protecting groups, the SPPLS technology (StrainChem Liquid Phase Peptide Synthesis) developed by StrainChem offers a real break with a faster, more economical and, above all, more environmentally friendly synthesis.
