AFYREN is a company specialized in microbiological engineering and in developing technological bricks for the production of biomolecules with chemical and energy applications (biorefineries).

AFYREN is specialized in microbiology and anaerobic processes. The company has the know-how for the development of anaerobic microbial innovative mix in order to transform non-food biomass (agro-industrial by-products) in chemical or energy molecules. AFYREN develops direct fermentation processes without the use of expensive enzyme solutions or thermolysis phase.

AFYREN involves in developing technological bricks in a biorefinery approach for biomolecule production.

AFYREN also provides delivery services for the measurement:
– of anaerobic biodegradability: study of methane potential (BMP), VFA potential and hydrogen potential,
– physico-chemical characterization of wastes, effluents or gases,
– analysis of microbial biodiversity, development of microbial mixes and their conservation.

AFYREN offers adapted services at laboratory and pilot scale to meet customers’ needs.

AFYREN obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research accreditation decision recognizing that its ability to carry out R & D that is eligible for the Research Tax Credit (CIR) for the benefit of companies.
