Les Bougies de Charroux is a family business specializing in the manufacture of French handmade candles.

Les Bougies de Charroux is a family business run by Pierre Corgnet, one of the founders’ sons. Specializing in handmade candles manufactured in France since 2007, Les Bougies de Charroux are the only ones in France to hold the RAL quality label.

She was a teacher, and he was a computer engineer in the Paris region. Then, they managed a camping in Allier, before retiring to Charroux in 2007. A few weeks later, the time to get bored, the olfactory adventure began in an outbuilding of their house. Joëlle and Jean-Paul created on April 28, 2007 the “Bois et Bougies” company.

The company was renamed Les Bougies de Charroux, a name given by its customers. In addition to the Charroux store, other stores were opened, first nearby and then further afield. During spring 2017, one of Joëlle and Jean-Paul’s sons, Pierre CORGNET, joined the company to continue this wonderful human adventure and since 2021 that he has taken over the family business

17 years after the beginnings, we are extremely proud our 20 craftsmen manufacturing each day more than 10 000 hand-made candles in our workshops in Saint-Bonnet de Rochefort. These candles are sold through our network of 28 stores run by some 60 sales consultants. Our candles are the only French candles to have obtained the RAL quality and safety label, since 2013 and until today.
